Child Rebel Soldier - "Us Placers"

This comes as a hella late pass, but I was listening to this song for the first time in a while and wanted to give it some shine.  The song dates back to 2007 and, to date, is one of two tracks that the supergroup Child Rebel Soldier has collaborated on and released to the public.  The trio, consisting of Lupe, Kanye, and Pharell, has been rumored to have an album in the works for a couple years now, but nothing has really come to light.  Personally, I'll believe it when I see it.  There's no doubt that if the project ever comes together it will be of the highest quality.  Pharell and West are two of the best producers in hip hop at the moment, Lupe is one of the genre's premier wordsmiths, and Pharell is one of the better hook-writers (think nearly every Clipse hook ever).  This song, which samples the title track off of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke's debut solo album, The Eraser, and is our best guess as to the sonic direction of any future CRS project.  The song has been in heavy rotation on my iPod over the years and generally discusses the price of fame (something all three superstars are all to familiar with).  Enjoy.
