It's another late pass, but I had to make sure you have the opportunity to hear this very dope project from LA producer Cook Classics. The mixtape is my fourth favorite from the past year and is a compilation of the best songs produced by CC with some of the best up and coming artists including Inverse, Emilio Rojas, Kyle Lucas, and Outasight. All nineteen songs (and seven bonus tracks) are some of the best I've heard all year and mesh well together, but I have to single out Kyle Lucas' "Breathing In a Smoggy City," and Shawn Jackson, Tunji, El Prez and Convinced's remix of Gang Starr's 1994 classic "Mass Appeal" as my personal favorites.
